I attended an Earth Day educational event on Print & Sustainability. Sounds dead boring doesn’t it, I thought so but it was a chance to be out of the office for a half and with free breakfast and a trip to the zoo. So I went, breakfast was great juice, loads of fresh fruit, eggs, the works. The Ford Education Center is very nice, wow, I haven’t been to the zoo in ages.
There was and absolutely stunning photography exhibit. It was the Shell Wildlife Photographer of the year exhibition, 107 amazing photos from wildlife photographers from all over the world.
Then it was time for the speakers, six of them plus the moderator’s remarks (groan). I am pleased to say that only one of the six speakers was boring. To be fair his topic was interesting, he was just too long-winded and he repeated himself. This turned out to be a wonderful event, and a pleasant day away from the office with my co-workers.
As we left we were given a little pine tree to plant. What did you do for Earth Day?
